Term 1 Parent letter
17 Jan 2022
Please see below letter regarding Term 1. Thank you.
Yesterday, the Premier announced a range of details relating to return to school plans for South Australia.
Working in partnership with SA Health, the Department for Education have developed a staged return to school and preschool over the first 2 weeks of term that tries to balance every child’s learning entitlement with safety and risk management concerns. There will be a mixture of face-to-face learning and online learning.
At this stage it looks like this below but exact details and year level configurations will be sent out to families once they have been finalised and we have had further direction from the Department for Education.
Wednesday 2 February – school and preschool is back
Face to face learning for: preschool, reception, year 1, year 7, year 8 and year 12 students
Remote learning for: years 2 to 6 students and years 9 to 11 students.
The Department for Education are planning to have all year levels back in school, learning face-to-face on Monday 14 February 2022.
Parents who are required to work and don’t have appropriate supervision for their children can choose to send their child to school or preschool to be supervised throughout this two week period. Children in vulnerable situations will also be able to come to school or preschool on these days.
Further updates will be provided to you as soon as we are advised.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to mitigate the risks to everyone’s health and wellbeing.
Take care and be safe.
